Job Description

What we’re looking for:

Our enthusiastic team is looking to fill the role of Patient Care Coordinator in our front office for our family-orientated private dental practice. We are a hard-working team that likes to laugh and have fun while we work. We are a fast paced but patient centered practice and we are looking for someone with attention to detail that can offer our patients outstanding customer service. Pay Range:

$17/hr to $21/hr

Responsibilities:

Open the office in the mornings

Listen to messages, answer phones and answer patient’s questions, updating office voicemail greetings.

Scheduling according to protocols, fillings holes in the schedule utilizing and maintaining our “ASAP list” and “unscheduled list” of patients who need appointments.

Field new patent calls, booking them an appropriate appointments, gathering their insurance info, calling insurance company to verify coverage.

Daily insurance verification of patients who are booked in the schedule

Maintaining and updating pt’s HIPAA forms, consent forms, med history forms, financial and privacy policy forms etc.

Assisting Dr. in booking fill-in/temp staffing needs and fielding calls/text from staff members calling in sick

Credentialing as needed every 2 years

Calling pt’s to remind them to pre-medicate prior to appointment when needed

Check office outlook email throughout the day

Check our lighthouse360 site throughout the day (our automated pt communication/confirmation system)

Scanning documents into pt charts (ie med hx, consent forms and specialist referrals) and updating charts as needed with info from these documents

Collect monies at DOS over the counter, process payments made by mail or phone

Monitoring and collecting of overdue AR

Make next visit appointments for patients at check out

Calculate and collect co-payments for patients

Sending out pre-treatment estimate paperwork to insurance company

Submit the days claims via our clearing house, Renaissance

Run end of day reports to include but not limited to day sheet, deposit slips, collections report etc

Ordering of some supplies for the office

Paying lab bills etc

Send and receive xrays and correspondence to and from specialist offices

Skills required:

Excellent customer service skills

Exceptional communication skills, with a clear speaking and telephone voice

Reliable, organized, and detail oriented

Available hours:

  • Monday 7:30-2
  • Tuesday 8-6
  • Thursday 7:30-5
  • Friday 7:30-2

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Experience:

  • Dental Front Office: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Dentrix experienced (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
